Prince Edward Island - Get Mortgage Broker License


Procedure

Apply Online (Real Estate License):

  1. To apply for a Mortgage Broker License (Real Estate License), the applicant can approach the Prince Edward Island Real Estate Association (PEIREA). Here is the contact Link
  2. The applicant will need to complete a course before they can be licensed. Find information here Link
  3. The applicant will need to fill out an application form. Click on the following link to the online form Link
  4. The applicant will need to fill out the application form with all the relevant details.
  5. The applicant will need to send in information proving that they have completed an approved course.
  6. The applicant will need to submit additional documents as mentione dunder the “Required Documents” sectio of this page.
  7. The applicant will have to make a fee payment. Find further information under the “Fees” section of this page.
  8. The applicant will need to undergo a criminal record check.
  9. The application will be processed within a few weeks from the submission of the application.

Eligibility

  • The applicant must be 18 years of age or above.
  • The applicant must legally be allowed to work in Canada.
  • The applicant will need a current salesperson license.
  • The applicant must have worked at a firm office for at least 2 years.




Fees

  • The applicant will need to pay a fee of 3500$ for the course.
  • The applicant will need to maintain a 2000$ bond.

Validity
