Apply Online (Real Estate License):
- To apply for a Mortgage Broker License (Real Estate License), the applicant can approach the Prince Edward Island Real Estate Association (PEIREA). Here is the contact Link
- The applicant will need to complete a course before they can be licensed. Find information here Link
- The applicant will need to fill out an application form. Click on the following link to the online form Link
- The applicant will need to fill out the application form with all the relevant details.
- The applicant will need to send in information proving that they have completed an approved course.
- The applicant will need to submit additional documents as mentione dunder the “Required Documents” sectio of this page.
- The applicant will have to make a fee payment. Find further information under the “Fees” section of this page.
- The applicant will need to undergo a criminal record check.
- The application will be processed within a few weeks from the submission of the application.

Eligibility
- The applicant must be 18 years of age or above.
- The applicant must legally be allowed to work in Canada.
- The applicant will need a current salesperson license.
- The applicant must have worked at a firm office for at least 2 years.
Fees
- The applicant will need to pay a fee of 3500$ for the course.
- The applicant will need to maintain a 2000$ bond.

Validity
- The license needs to be renewed every 2 years.

- A mortgage broker arranges mortgages for a brokerage company, a person is legally required to obtain a license before practising. This document proves that the applicant is licensed.
