Prince Edward Island - Apply for Insurance Broker License


Procedure

Apply Online

  1. To Apply for Insurance Broker License, the applicant has to make the application online via link
  2. The applicant has to enter the details and click the “Next Page” button.
  3. Also, upload all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page and click the “Next Page”
  4. Pay the fee and click the “Next Page” button.
  5. Now click the “Confirmation” button.
  6. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
  7. The regulatory body will conduct a background check, which may include a review of the applicant’s criminal record and any past disciplinary actions.
  8. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
  9. Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
  10. If the application is approved, the applicant will receive his/her insurance broker license. The applicant may need to pay additional registration and licensing fees at this stage.
  11. This entire process can be completed within 15 - 20 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

  1. To Apply for Insurance Broker License, the applicant has to approach the Government of Prince Edward Island link
  2. Complete the required education and training courses specific to insurance brokering. This typically includes completing a specified number of hours of pre-licensing education and passing the applicable licensing exams.
  3. The courses and exams cover various aspects of insurance, including laws, ethics, policies, and regulations.
  4. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer or it can be downloaded from the following link
  5. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
