Procedure

  1. To register a patent, an application must be submitted to the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland.
  2. A link is given under 'Documents to Use' section which you can use to download the application form.
  3. Submit the completed form together with these documents:
    1. Description of the invention (s) in triplicate
    2. Reservations in triplicate after
    3. Abbreviation in duplicate
    4. Drawing in triplicate
    5. Proof of payment of the registration fee, if the fee has been paid;

  • For patent or utility model application : 550,00*
For each page in excess of 20 pages of the description, claims and drawings: 25,00
For declaration of priority for each priority claimed: 100,00
  • For electronic filing of patent or utility model application: 500,00*
For each page in excess of 20 pages of the description, claims and drawings: 25,00
For declaration of priority for each priority claimed: 100,00
  • Transmittal fee (for PCT application**): 300,00*
  • National fee (for PCT application**):
without preliminary examination having been carried out: 550,00*
with preliminary examination having been carried out: 350,00*
for each additional page in excess of 20 pages of the translation of the description, claims and drawings: 25,00
for declaration of priority for each priority claimed: 100,00


Notes: * Where one application covers more than two inventions the fee is increased of 50%, ** PCT Patent Co-operation Treaty
