Philippines - Replace TESDA National Certificate (NC) Certificate of Competency (COC)


Procedure

Apply In-Person:

  1. To Replace TESDA National Certificate (NC) / Certificate of Competency (COC), the applicant has to approach the TESDA (Technical Education and Skills Development Authority) assessment center link
    NOTE: Enter the center name and select the region, qualification, province and click the “Search” button to check the nearest center.
  2. The applicant has to visit the office with the request letter.
  3. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.(if required)
  4. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
  5. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  6. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
  7. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
  8. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority at the cashier counter.
  9. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
  10. An acknowledgment receipt will be provided. Please save it for future reference.
  11. Be present at the scheduled date and assigned venue of the assessment indicated in the Admission Slip.
  12. The applicant can get their replacement National Certificate (NC) / Certificate of Competency (COC) from the office.
  13. This entire process can be completed within 7 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

  • Any National Certificate (NC) / Certificate of Competency (COC) who lost or damaged or stolen a certificate is eligible to make this application.

Need for the Document

  • National Certificate is issued when a candidate has demonstrated competence in all units of competency that comprised a Qualification.
  • A certificate of Competency is issued to individuals who have satisfactorily demonstrated competence on a particular cluster of units of competency.
  • If a person lost or damaged or the certificate got stolen , the person needs to get replace the certificate from TESDA (Technical Education and Skills Development Authority).
