Need for the Document

[edit]

The Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF)-COVID-19 is currently using the RapidPass system developed by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) that utilizes secure QR code technology for a facilitated application process (on-line) and physical pass-through at checkpoints. The system fast tracks movement in checkpoints and also reduces unnecessary physical contact. With the use of the said pass, accredited frontliners and authorized personnel can simply flash their passes that bears a unique QR code in order to pass.

Information which might help

[edit]

  • You may only register for the RapidPass once. Only one unique QR code is issued to every user.
  • Once issued, the unique QR code is tied to your user information, and valid ID. The QR code can only be used by the approved person or personnel registered in the system.
  • Checkpoints may still ask for your valid ID along with your digital pass with QR code. Make sure that you always have your valid ID with you when you travel.
