After a person is pronounced dead his/her family should register the death in order to be granted a death certificate. This is necessary so as to continue with burial arrangements.

• Name and Surname of the Deceased and his/her nationality.
• Name of Husband/Father/Mother Occupation/Profession of the Deceased
• Address of the Deceased
• Religion, Sex and Caste of the Deceased
• Date, time and cause of death
• Age of Deceased
• Name and Address of the Person Making Report.
• Date of Report

Death Certificate is very important and vital document evidence. Death Certificate is required for different purposes, such like property matters, to review the causes of death, proof to be presented in court etc.

Presently NADRA Pakistan has started maintaining Death records; they register and issue a Computerized Death Registration Certificate just like Computerized Birth Certificate or Marriage Certificate.

Death Certificate is also required to arrange burial or cremation.
