• Submit an application using Form STR-1 at any tax facilitation counter at the nearest Regional Tax Office (RTO).
• The local RTO forwards all applications to the Central Registration Office.
• After verification, the CRO issues a Registration Certificate bearing the registration number and mails the same to the registered company, on prescribed Form STR-5.

Steps for Online Application:Edit

• Go to https://.e.fbr.gov.pk to begin the online process.
• Select new e-registration from the dropdown of e-Registration to begin a new registration application.
• select the application type (New Registration, Change in Particulars ST FED Registration, Duplicate Certificate)
• Select the taxpayer type (Individual, AOP, or Company)
• Enter the CNIC / NTN / Reg. Inc, according to the selected taxpayer type, Name and image character then click ok to proceed.
• Already selected category will appear on the next screen (Individual, AOP, and Company).
• After the completion of the online registration form, verify and submit the application if you want to apply online.

• Form-III/Form-A submitted to SECP in case Company
• Statement of Affairs in cases applicant in case of AOP
• Bank account of applicant

A sales tax registration number is a number allocated by the government of Pakistan for taxation paid to a governing body for the sales of certain goods and services. Usually laws allow the seller to collect funds for the tax from the consumer at the point of purchase.

The Sales Tax General Order No. 4/2007 introduced electronic filing of the sales tax returns; and as of July 1st 2008, electronic filing was made mandatory for all categories of taxpayers.
