1. To Apply for Alien Employment Certification, the applicant has to approach the U.S. Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration link
2. The applicant has to download the application form from the following link
3. The applicant has to enter all the details in the application form. (Incomplete application forms are not accepted)
4. Make sure that the applicant has to attach all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
6. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the Concerned officer.
7. The fee for this procedure has to be paid as per the authority’s request.
8. Once the verification process gets done by the officer, the applicant gets the notification from the department.
9. The applicant gets the certificate by visiting the nearest office.
10. The processing time for this procedure takes up to 30 days.

• Alien Employment certification is part of the sponsorship process for employers who wish to hire foreign workers on a permanent basis. The employer may assist the foreign worker in obtaining a green card on the basis of employment.
