1. To apply for a Mortgage Broker License, the applicant can approach the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario. Here is the contact Link
2. The applicant will need to complete an FSRA-approved course, find information here Link
3. To apply, click on the following Link
4. The applicant’s principal broker will send them a registration link, click on the link to obtain a mortgage broker license.
5. The applicant will need to fill out an application form with all the relevant details.
6. The applicant may need to submit additional documents as mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
7. The applicant can find fee-related information under the “Fees” section of this page.
8. The application will need to be reviewed by the principal broker before submission.
9. Once submitted, it will be forwarded to the relevant authorities. Once approved, the applicant shall receive their license.

• The applicant must be 18 years of age or older.
• The applicant must be a resident of Canada.
• The applicant must have been licensed as a mortgage agent 24 months during the 36-month period prior to the applicant’s mortgage broker application.
• The applicant must have an Ontario mailing address.
• The applicant must complete the approved mortgage broker education program within three years before applying for the mortgage broker licence.

• The applicant does not need to pay any fees.

• The validity will be specified by the authorities.
