Oman - Apply for Resident Card


Procedure

  1. Fill up and submit application form along with all other required documents.
  2. Pay the application fee.
  3. In signing electronically the card, please take note of the following:
    1. Hold the pen gently and press on it while writing.
    2. Sign between the two parallel lines (do not touch them or write above them).
    3. Your signature should be clear enough to appear on the card.
  4. And finally, in having your picture taken please make sure that:
    1. You sit properly and look straight to the camera lens.
    2. You don't wear any glasses. Otherwise, the flash will reflect on the glasses and your picture will not be clear.





Required Documents

For Working Residents in the private sector:

  • Copy of clearance from the Ministry of Manpower along with the original.
  • Copy of passport along with the original passport
  • One (1) photograph.


For Working Residents in the public sector:

  • A letter from the employee confirms the job title.
  • Filled in application form. Fill the application from the site
  • Copy of passport along with the original passport.
  • One (1) photograph.


For Non Working Residents (Family members):

  • Residence card application form.
  • Copy and original of passport or parents passport if the applicant is still traveling on one of the parent's passport.
  • One (1) photograph.

Eligibility

The resident cards are for residents and expatriates of the Oman Sultanate, whether employed or not.




Fees

  • First Issuance: 10(RO)
  • Renawal(after 2 years): 10(RO)
  • For lost/damaged cards: 10(RO)




Validity
