Apply by mail:
- To Change the Name of a Non-Governmental Organization, the applicant has to approach the Canadian Government link
- The applicant has to write a written request letter.
- Give complete details in the request letter.

- Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned office mailing address.

- There is no fee for changingthe Name of a Non-Governmental Organization.
- After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
- Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
- Once all types of process get completed successfully, the applicant will get the change of name permit through the mail.
- This entire process takes up to 30 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

- To Change the Name of a Non-Governmental Organization, the applicant has to make an application online via link
- The applicant has to click the “CRA sign in”
- Enter the user ID and password and click the “Sign-in” button.
- Scroll down to the menu for the charity’s RR account.
- And the applicant has to select the Select “Update registered charity or RCAAA information”.
- Followed by selecting “Change organization’s legal name” from the dropdown menu.
- Provide a detailed description of the request in the text box.
- The applicant must upload the amended governing document, and also check the “Required Documents” section of this page.
