1. To Replace a Social Security Card, the applicant has to approach the U.S Social Security Administration link

3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
4. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
6. Submit all the essential documents along with the completed application form to the nearest administrative office.
7. There is no charge for a Social Security card.
8. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
9. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
10. Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets a notification through email or SMS.
11. The applicant receives the social security card through the mail.
12. The processing time for this procedure is within 7 to 10 days.

3. If the applicant is a new user, they have to register first by clicking on the “Create an account” option.
4. While registering, the applicant has to provide all necessary information in the application form and finally click on the “Submit” button.
5. Once the registration is successful, an applicant can log in with their “Email ID” and “Password”.
6. After logging in, the applicant has to choose the service necessary for them.
7. Applicant must provide all information necessary for the application procedure online.
8. Applicants should make sure to upload digital copies of documents (whichever is necessary) along with the application form.

10. Finally, the applicant has to click on the “Submit” button.
