Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for Transfer of a Mining Lease in person, the applicant (lease holder) has to visit the Nigerian Mining Cadastre Office.

3. Visit the office and obtain an application form to be completed for Transfer of a Mining Lease from the relevant department.
4. Complete the application form with appropriate information under relevant sections. Attest it with your signature once completed.
5. Once completed filling the application form, make sure that you have attached all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
6. Then, submit it in person to the relevant authority at the office. Make the stipulated payment as directed by the officials.
7. After submission, the application and other documents will be forwarded for examination and verification processes.
8. Once the verification and validation processes are over, the application will be approved and the officials will proceed to take required steps to issue the approval for lease.
9. When the document is ready to be collected, the applicant will be notified by the office and the applicant can collect it by any applicable means.

• Incorporation Certificate
• CAC2 and CAC7 forms
• Articles and Memorandum of the Association
• Memorandum of Understanding/Agreement
• Progress report of previous activities

• Incorporation Certificate
• CAC2 and CAC7 forms
• Attestation of Police Clearance
• Proof of technical competence
• Evidence of financial capability
• Transferred and Approved expatriate quotas
• Transferee company’s profile
• Required fees and proof of payment

Application/processing fees – N250,000.00
Transfer/Assignment fees – N500, 000.00

• Applicants are advised to complete the application form neatly and completely with absolute legibility and appropriateness to avoid rejections. Also, all the required documents must be furnished completely.
