DISTRIBUTORS LICENSE

1. To apply for obtaining a Film and Video Distributors License in person, the applicant must visit the office of National Film and Video Censors' Board.
2. Address and contact details of the NFVCB can be found in the following page: link
3. Visit the office and get an application form to apply for a Film and Video Distributors License as applicable to your requirement from the respective department.
4. Make sure that you have all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Now, complete the application form with appropriate information under relevant sections. Attest it with your signature once completed.
6. Once completed filling the application form, attach all the required documents with it and submit it in person to the relevant authority at the office.
7. After submission, the application and other documents will be forwarded for examination and verification processes.
8. Once the verification and validation processes are over, the application will be approved and the officials will proceed to take required steps to issue the license.
9. When the license document is ready to be collected, the applicant will be sent an SMS in the registered mobile number from the office and the applicant can collect it by any applicable means.
   

EXHIBITOR LICENSE

1. To apply for Film and Video Exhibitor License in person, the applicant must visit the office of National Film and Video Censors' Board.

3. Visit the office and get an application form to apply for a Film and Video Exhibitor License as applicable to your requirement from the respective department.
4. Make sure that you have all the documents listed in the “Required documents” section of this page.
5. Now, complete the application form with appropriate information under relevant sections. Attest it with your signature once completed.
6. Once completed filling the application form, submit it in person to the relevant authority at the office.

• Any registered entity inside the Republic of Nigeria that wishes to get into Film and Video Distribution and Exhibition as an organisational purpose must possess a license obtained from the National Film and Video Censors' Board.
  

• An Online Distributor is a Distributor that is licensed by the Board to distribute and market Films and Video works across the country using the internet Platforms or social networks.

• A National Distributor is a Distributor that is licensed by the Board to distribute and market Films and Video works across the country.

• A Regional Distributor is a Distributor that is licensed by the Board to distribute and market Films and Video works in a state within a specified Geo-political zone.

• A Community Distributor is a Distributor that is licensed by the Board to distribute and market Films and Video works within a specified community, State, Council Area or any settlement.
• If you wish to do the exhibition across the country in any authorized platform, you need to go for a National license.

• If you wish to do the exhibition in a designated state within a geopolitical zone of the country, you need to go for a Regional license.

• If you wish to do the exhibition in a particular state of Nigeria, you need to go for a Community Exhibitor license.
