Apply via Agent
Apply In-Person:
- To apply for registering as Examiner in WAEC (West African Examinations Council) in person, the applicant has to visit the office of the West African Examinations Council in Nigeria.
- The address and contact details of WAEC can be found in the following link: Link
- Visit the office and obtain an application form for registering as Examiner in WAEC (West African Examinations Council)from the Registration Department.
- Make sure that you have all the documents listed in the “required documents” section of this page.
- Complete the application form with appropriate information under relevant sections. Attest it with your signature once completed.
- Once completed filling the application form, make sure that you attached all the documents required.
- Then, submit it in person to the relevant authority at the office. Make the stipulated payment as directed by the officials.
- After submission, the application and other documents will be forwarded for examination and verification processes.
- Once the verification and validation processes are over, the application will be approved and the officials will proceed to take required steps for the registration.
- On successful registration, the applicant will be communicated through phone or email and informed about the collection process of the instrument of registration.
- In the meantime for the registration, the applicant can check the status of his/her application by contacting the office where the application has been made.

- To apply for registering as Examiner in WAEC (West African Examinations Council) online, the applicant has to visit the following online portal: Link
- Online registration page will open. Complete the online registration form with your details as required.
- Enter the necessary details in the respective fields provided and make applicable selections using the drop-downs.
- Upload a soft copy of your passport by clicking the “Choose file” button. Check the ‘Terms and Conditions’ box and click “Register Examiner” button to submit the application.
- Examiners Dashboard will be opened. Click “Educational Qualifications” option and provide information about your qualification.
- Then click “Submit” button. Scroll up and click “Professional skills” to add details about your skills.
- Enter the required details and click “Add” button. Your details will be added and then click “teaching experience” option.
- Do the same and click “Add” button to add the entered details. Similarly complete the other sections and submit the application.
- Pay the necessary fees (if any) by following the onscreen instructions and complete the registration.
- After submission, the application and other documents will be forwarded for examination and verification processes.

Eligibility
- Any eligible person, who wishes to get registered as an Examiner in the West African Examinations Council can apply.
- The applicant should possess a minimum of first degree or its equivalent in a field related to the subject he/she wishes to examine.
- He/she should have a minimum of two years post- NYSC teaching experience preferably a Senior Secondary School.
- The applicant should possess thorough knowledge of the subject he/she wishes to examine.
- He/she must be a person of high integrity, therefore there must be an attestation to his/her character from the current employer.
