Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for obtaining Offshore Safety Permit or License in person, the applicant has to visit the office of the Department of Petroleum Resources.
2. The address and contact details of DPR can be found in the following contact link
3. Visit the office and obtain an application form for Offshore Safety Permit or License from the relevant department.
4. Make sure that you have all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Complete the application form and attach the documents (as required) with the completed application.
6. Then submit the application package to the relevant authority at the office. Pay the required amount of fees as directed by the officials.
7. After submission, the submitted applications and attached documents will put forth for verification and validation.
8. On checking and finding that the requirements have been furnished properly, the officials will proceed to perform further required actions.
9. An inspection will be conducted for verifying the business premises and analyzing the technical competence as well as financial capability.
10. Once all the necessary processes are over and the permit/license is ready for collection, you will be notified through phone or email and asked to collect the document.

1. To apply for obtaining Offshore Safety Permit or License online, the applicant has to visit the following apply online link
2. If you already have an account, click “Single Registration” or “Corporate Registration as applicable and login by entering your user details.
3. If not, click “Register now” button and proceed to make a new registration. Select the user type and enter the other details in the respective fields.
4. Click “Submit” button. Successful profile creation will appear and an email with login details would have been sent to your email address.
5. Click “Click to continue” button, login using the user details and enter into the portal. In the homepage, click “Complete OSP Registration” button on your left side.
6. Application form with required tabs will get opened. Complete each tab and proceed.
7. Click “Save & Continue” button at the end of each tab. Also upload the required documents by following the on-screen instructions.
8. Then, make the necessary payment in the payments page and submit the application.
9. On application submission and successful payment, the submitted applications and attached documents will put forth for verification and validation.
10. On checking and finding that the requirements have been furnished properly, the officials will proceed to perform further required actions.
11. An inspection will be conducted for verifying the business premises and analyzing the technical competence as well as financial capability.
