Apply via Agent
Apply In-Person:
- To Obtain Loss Adjusters License or Permit in person, the applicant has to visit the office of the National Insurance Commission of Nigeria.
- The following is the address and contact link
- Visit the office and obtain an application form for Loss Adjusters License or Permit from the relevant department.
- Make sure that you have all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- Complete the application form and attach the documents (as required) with the completed application.
- Then submit the application package to the relevant authority at the office. Pay the required amount of fees as directed by the officials.
- After submission, the submitted applications and attached documents will put forth for verification and validation.
- On checking and finding that the requirements have been furnished properly, the officials will proceed to perform further required actions.
- Once all the necessary processes are over and the permit/license is ready for collection, you will be notified through phone or email and asked to collect the document.

Eligibility
- Any individual or organization, that intends to act as a loss adjuster, can apply.
- No person shall be a chief executive of a loss adjusting company or firm unless he is registered as a loss adjuster by the Institute upon recommendation of the Institute of Loss Adjusters of Nigeria.
- The applicant company must maintain a professional indemnity cover of not less than N5million or 50 per cent of its annual fees for the preceding year.
- He/she must be at least a partner in the firm or a director of the company is duly registered by the Institute of Loss Adjusters of Nigeria.
