Apply In-Person:

1. To Obtain Loss Adjusters License or Permit in person, the applicant has to visit the office of the National Insurance Commission of Nigeria.

3. Visit the office and obtain an application form for Loss Adjusters License or Permit from the relevant department.
4. Make sure that you have all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Complete the application form and attach the documents (as required) with the completed application.
6. Then submit the application package to the relevant authority at the office. Pay the required amount of fees as directed by the officials.
7. After submission, the submitted applications and attached documents will put forth for verification and validation.
8. On checking and finding that the requirements have been furnished properly, the officials will proceed to perform further required actions.
9. Once all the necessary processes are over and the permit/license is ready for collection, you will be notified through phone or email and asked to collect the document.

• Any individual or organization, that intends to act as a loss adjuster, can apply.
• No person shall be a chief executive of a loss adjusting company or firm unless he is registered as a loss adjuster by the Institute upon recommendation of the Institute of Loss Adjusters of Nigeria.
• The applicant company must maintain a professional indemnity cover of not less than N5million or 50 per cent of its annual fees for the preceding year.
• He/she must be at least a partner in the firm or a director of the company is duly registered by the Institute of Loss Adjusters of Nigeria.
