Nigeria - How to Obtain a Petroleum Road Tanker Driver Certificate

Apply In-Person:

  1. To apply for obtaining a Petroleum Road Tanker Driver Certificate in person, the applicant has to visit the nearest Driver’s License Centre (DLC).

  3. Visit the DLC and obtain an application form for a Petroleum Road Tanker Driver Certificate from the relevant counter.
  4. Make sure that you have all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. Complete the application form with required details and information in respective fields under relevant sections.
  6. Attach the required documents with the completed application form and submit it in person to the relevant authority at the office.
  7. Also, pay the required fees for the approval as directed by the officials.
  8. After submission, the application and other documents will be forwarded for examination and verification processes.
  9. Once the verification and validation processes are over, if the application will be approved, the officials will proceed to take required steps to issue the license.
  10. When the document is ready to be collected, the applicant will receive a formal notification from the office and the applicant can collect it by any applicable means.
