Nigeria - Apply for Pre-Shipment Inspection

Apply In-Person:

  1. To apply for Pre-shipment Inspection in person, the applicant should visit the office of any agent accredited to perform Pre-shipment Inspections.
  2. Relevant details can be found in the last section of the following link
  3. Visit any of the accredited agents as applicable to your location and obtain an application form (if any) to apply for Pre-shipment Inspection.
  4. Make sure that you have all the documents listed in the “Required documents” section of this page.
  5. Also, you should take with you the samples of the product that needs to be inspected and analysed.
  6. Complete the application form with required details about the product and the importing organisation under respective sections.
  7. Attest it with your signature and attach the required documents with the completed application form.
  8. Pay the amount of fees required for inspection and analysis of the product as directed by the officials and collect a payment receipt.
  9. Attach that receipt also with the application package and submit it to the relevant official at the office along with the samples of the product.
  10. After submission, the submitted documents and product samples will be put into various verification and examination processes respectively.
  11. On completion of all the necessary processes, the applicant will be notified through phone or email and informed about the completion of the Inspection.
  12. When the inspection report is ready to be collected, the applicant can collect it by any applicable means.
  13. Meanwhile, the applicant can also contact the office regarding the application status.

  • Completed application form
  • Copy of valid Product Registration Certificate issued by NAFDAC (self-attested)
  • Copy of valid NAFDAC E-certificate (self-attested)
  • Copy of valid Certificate of Pharmaceutical Product (COPP) (self-attested)
  • Copy of Form M (self-attested)
  • Notice of Pack size extension (if any)
  • Copy of manufacturing license issued by State Food and Drug Administration (self-attested)
  • Airway Bill or Lading Bill copy
  • Proof or Exporter/Importer Registration
