Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for Examinations of Goods in person, the applicant has to visit the office of the Nigeria Customs Service.
2. The address and contact details of the NCS can be found in the following contact link
3. Visit the office and obtain an application form for Examinations of Goods from the respective department.
4. Make sure that you have all the required documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Complete the application form as required with necessary information and attest with your signature.
6. Then, attach the documents required with the completed form proceed to submit it to the concerned official at the Office for further verification and application processing.
7. Also, pay the required fees for the application process at the office as directed by the officials.
8. After submission, the Customs department examines the product and seals the container.
9. Then, after successful completion of the examination, the Customs Department issues approval for the product to enter the ports.

• It is important that the completed form must contain all the information required properly and the form must be filled legibly, in order to get accepted by the Authority.

Examination of Goods is required when those goods are to be exported from Nigeria or they have been imported to Nigeria from any other country.
