4. Pay the application fee
5. Applicants will be given a reference number to use when collecting the passport

• A completed application form signed by the applicant;
• A certified copy of the applicant's valid identity card
• Certified copy of the birth certificate for children under the age of 15.
• The application must also be accompanied by four passport-size photographs

• All passport applications are sent to the Directorate of Territorial Supervision (Direction de la surveillance du territoire, DST) at the Ministry of the Interior and Land Management (ministre de l'Intrieur et de l'amnagement du territoire).
• The applicant must also show proof of payment of 1,500 CFA francs in road taxes, which is provided by the mayor
• Any application for or renewal of a passport must be handled by the appropriate services in Niamey
• Applicants abroad must travel to Niger for application
