New Zealand - Apply for Phytosanitary Certificate

Apply Online

  1. To apply for a Phytosanitary Certificate, Applicant has to register with the government online identification service RealMe: Link
  2. On the given page, select “Create your Realme login” and fill up your details and click on ‘proceed’
  3. Once you successfully create a RealMe login, save your log in credentials for future reference.
  4. Using your RealMe login credentials, log in to ephyto : Link
  5. Once you login to Ephyto, download the Application form for Phytosanitary certificate.
  6. Fill up the application form with your details.
  7. Please make sure you have all the required documents that are listed under the Required Document” section of this page.
  8. The applicant shall email the duly filled application form and documents to the MPI. Contact details are listed below under the “office locations and contacts” section
  9. After the application is processed, The Inspector visits the Applicant’s premises and inspects the shipment destined for export.
  10. Once the inspection yields satisfactory results, the inspector issues a Phytosanitary Certificate.

Validity

The Certificate is valid per shipment or consignment. A new shipment requires a new Phytosanitary Certificate
