3. When you apply for a licence you need to complete the appropriate form(s), which is available on your councils website.
4. Submit the required forms to your local council's office and pay the application fee.
5. You will receive an acknowledgement that your application has been received by the council.

Four types of licence:

• On-licence (eg, pub, tavern, hotel, restaurant, cafe, bar, entertainment venue, train, plane) allows the sale or supply of alcohol for consumption on the premises.
