New Licenses

• If you wish to apply for a license you will need to get in touch with the Marine Permit Office - Bureau of Marine Resources and request an application be mailed to you. Note: Contact information are provided under 'Office Locations & Contacts' section.
• Fill out the application and submit it and the license fee to the Marine Permit Office

Renewing your license

• A renewal form will be sent to you before your current license expires. If you haven't received your renewal form in the mail and your license will expire in at least 2 weeks, you will need to contact the Marine Permit Office.

List down the documents required for successfully completing the procedure.

1. Proof of child birth from the Hospital.

You must be at least 16 years old in age.

• Food Fish Landing License: $500

Food Fish Landing Licenses are valid until December 31 of each year.

The Food Fish Landing License permits its holder to land food fish legally taken from waters outside the boundaries of New York State for commercial purposes. The Food Fishing license holder must observe New York State's size limits, trip limits and season status when landing food fish in New York.
