4. Mail the completed application form and the necessary document to the appropriate office.

7. Contact National Firearms Examiner Academy, if the applicant needs more information about the application.
8. Please double-check that application is completely filled and that have included all the requested information.
9. All important information must be submitted correctly in order for ATF to process your application and avoid unnecessary delays.
10. The licence will be issued by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.
11. Email the EROD Program if the applicant has any queries about the status of their application or general questions about disability relief.

• Two Completed FD 258 (Fingerprint Identification Cards)
• A certified copy of the indictment (if necessary)
• A certified copy of the order of a court, if the applicant adjudicated a mental defective
• A certified copy of the applicant’s Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty (if necessary)
• A certified copy of the formal renunciation of nationality (if necessary)
• Certification from a Federal explosives licensee (if necessary)
• Certification from an appropriate law enforcement agency (if necessary)
• Certification from the applicant including the applicant’s INS-issued alien number to immigration status (if necessary)

• Those with out-of-state and federal offences may be eligible.
• For any felony conviction, all weapons rights are suspended for ten years after the sentence is completed; these rights are restored by pardon.
