FOR REGIONAL LEVEL GUIDE:
- To apply for Duplicate Tourist Guide Certificate, applicant has to visit the New Delhi Ministry of Tourism office.

- If the tour guide lost his license or it has been damaged in natural calamities/accidents, he should approach the nearest police station and file a complaint.
- Tour guide has to apply for the duplicate license along with the FIR obtained from the police station. He must include a letter stating the reason for applying the duplicate copy.
- Now get the relevant application form from the authorities and fill the form with valid details appropriately.
- Now complete the form with the necessary information and make sure you have all the documents in hand that is listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- After filling the form, attach the documents mentioned in the required documents section below with the completed application form.
- Submit the form along with the required documents to the authorities.
- Now collect the acknowledgment slip from the authorities.
- Now the authorities will verify your application and validate the submitted documents.
- After the verification process, the applicant shall receive the duplicate copy of the tourist guide certificate.
Apply Online
- To Obtain Duplicate Certificate as Tourist Guide, the applicant has to make the application online via the following link link
- If the applicant is a new user they can click “New User” menu and register their account. If the applicant is the existing user they can click “Registered Users Login” and login with user id and password.
- Next the applicant has to select the service and enter all necessary details in the application form.
- The applicant has to upload all the required documents that are mentioned in required documents section of this page.
- Review the application and click “submit”. On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement. The applicant will also get a transaction number as a text message on their registered mobile number.
- Applicant has to make necessary payment and don’t forget to take the receipt.
- This application will be forwarded to the respective department for further processing.
- ”SMS” triggered update on application status will be sent to the applicant’s mobile. Please keep track of the notification.
- The submitted application will be processed by the department. A designated authority (supply officer) will verify the submitted documents and inspect the area of the applicant to clarify the applicant’s details.
- Based on the outcome of the above-mentioned steps and other internal processing, the designated issuing authority will decide on the issuance of the Certificate.
- The status, viz. Approval or Rejection will be conveyed to the applicant through an “SMS” or applicable norms.
Apply Through CSC
- To Obtain Duplicate Certificate as Tourist Guide the applicant has to approach respective “CSC” centre link
- NOTE: The applicant has to select state, district and block name from the drop-down menu, or the applicant has to click on their respective district to find nearby centres.
- Please visit the centre and consult with the centre operator for your requirement.
- If the operator issues an application form, then collect it and pay the requisite fee. Please complete the application form.
- Now, submit the completed application along with the required documents as per the “Required Documents” section of this page. It is advised to take the documents in original to the kiosk for scanning purposes.
- The operator will process the application online. On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement. The applicant will also get a transaction number as a text message on their registered mobile number.
- Applicant has to make necessary payment as centre operator quotes and don’t forget to take the receipt.
- This application will be forwarded to the respective department for further processing.
- ”SMS” triggered update on application status will be sent to the applicant’s mobile. Please keep track of the notification.

Eligibility
- Applicant whose tourist guide certificate is lost / damaged can apply for duplicate certificate.
- Applicant would have to apply afresh for the duplicate guide license on the basis of First Information Report (FIR) and statement that the guide license has been lost.

Need for the Document
To interact with the tourists as a guide you must hold a valid Tour Guide License.
There are 4 categories of Regional Level Tourist Guides
- General – These guides can work as a regional level guide on a full time basis.
- General Linguistic – Ministry of Tourism will identify the guides with fluency in foreign languages.
- Expert Guides – This is a special category in the tourist guide sector. In this category, scholars or specialists in the fields of tourism will be placed.
- Expert Linguistic – In this category, scholars or specialists with fluency in foreign language will be placed.
Other uses of the Document/Certificate
One who holds the Tour guide license can be officially allotted as the state / central government tourist guide.
