To provide financial support to the poor widows of India, the widow pension scheme was introduced in India. A widow whose household is below the poverty line is eligible to get the benefits of pension scheme.
Apply In-Person for Delhi Vidhwa Pension Yojana:

1. To apply for Delhi Vidhwa Pension Yojana,visit the department of women and child development.

3. Get the application form from the Concerned Officer or write it on an A4 sheet.
4. Fill the application form with all the necessary details.
5. Attach all the Required Documents as mentioned in the Required Documents section.
6. The form then needs to be signed by the women and this should be submitted to the Department of Women and Child Development.
7. Pay the appropriate fees as per authorities quote.
8. You will be given an acknowledgement keep it safe for future reference.
9. Once the form has been submitted, it will be sent for verification and upon successful verification, the pension will be started.

Apply Online

1. The Apply for Widow Pension, the applicant has to make the application online via the official portal of MCD (Municipal Cooperation of Delhi). link
2. Now the applicant has to select their region among North DMC, South DMC, or East DMC.
3. Click on “Online Registration for Old Age/ Widow / Handicap Pension Above 60 Years” tab visible on the home page.
4. Then, the applicant has to complete all the requested details such as pension type, Applicant’s address details, other family details etc. and click on the ‘Submit’ icon.
5. Next the applicant has to upload the necessary documents that are mentioned in “Required Documents” section of this page.
6. After uploading all the requested documents (scanned documents), click on the Submit icon.
7. Once the application is submitted, verification of the documents will be done by the ULB officials.
8. After submitting the application form successfully, an automatic unique application number will be generated.
9. Based on the outcome of the above-mentioned steps and other internal processing, the designated issuing authority will decide on the issuance of the Certificate.
10. The status, viz. Approval or Rejection will be conveyed to the applicant through an “SMS” or applicable norms.

Apply Through CSC

1. To Apply for Widow Pension, the applicant has to approach respective “CSC” centre link
   • NOTE: The applicant has to select state, district and block name from the drop-down menu, or the applicant has to click on their respective district to find nearby centres.
2. Please visit the centre and consult with the centre operator for your requirement.
3. If the operator issues an application form, then collect it and pay the requisite fee. Please complete the application form.
4. Now, submit the completed application along with the required documents as per the “Required Documents” section of this page. It is advised to take the documents in original to the kiosk for scanning purposes.
5. The operator will process the application online. On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement. The applicant will also get a transaction number as a text message on their registered mobile number.
6. Applicant has to make necessary payment as centre operator quotes and don’t forget to take the receipt.
7. This application will be forwarded to the respective department for further processing.
8. ”SMS” triggered update on application status will be sent to the applicant’s mobile. Please keep track of the notification.
9. The submitted application will be processed by the department. A designated authority (supply officer) will verify the submitted documents and inspect the area of the applicant to clarify the applicant’s details.
10. Based on the outcome of the above-mentioned steps and other internal processing, the designated issuing authority will decide on the issuance of the Deserted Woman Certificate.
11. The status, viz. Approval or Rejection will be conveyed to the applicant through an “SMS” or applicable norms.

Documents Required for Delhi Vidhwa Pension Yojana:

• Residential Proof
• Xerox of Bank Passbook
• In case of any disability, the women would also require submitting a disability certificate
• Death certificate of Husband's Death
• In the case of any mental illness, a certificate for the same should be submitted.
