New Brunswick - Obtain Driver License Extract (abstract)


Procedure

Apply In-Person

  1. To obtain a driver’s license extract, the applicant will need to visit the nearest New Brunswick Service Center. Find the nearest office here Link
  2. The applicant will need to complete an application form, this will be given to the applicant when they visit the centre.
  3. Fill out the application form with all the relevant details.
  4. Submit the application form to the New Brunswick Service centre.
  5. The applicant will need to pay a fee, find further information under the “Fees” section of this page.
  6. The applicant will receive their driver’s license extract the same day; it can be collected from the counter after fee payment.


Apply Online

  1. To obtain a driver’s license extract, the applicant can use the Service New Brunswick online. Here is the contact Link
  2. The applicant will need to enter details such as their name address, driver's license number and so on.
  3. Click on submit once all the relevant details have been entered.
  4. The applicant will need to pay a fee, find further information under the “Fees” section of this page.
  5. The applicant can download and print their extract 2 days after the submission of the application.


Apply by Phone

  1. To obtain a driver’s license extract, the applicant will need to mail the application. Find the contact link here Link
  2. Call the following number to request an abstract: 1-888-762-8600 (toll-free)
  3. The applicant will need to provide relevant details.
  4. The applicant will need to include a cheque or money order (payable to SGI) to the address under the “Fees” section of this page.
  5. The applicant will receive their driver’s license extract the same day.

Processing Time

  • The applicant shall obtain their extract on the same day if they are applying In-Person or over the phone.
  • It take two days to process online applications.
