New Brunswick - Apply for Full Direct Remitter Approval Letter


Procedure

Apply Online (Open a non-resident tax account)

  1. If the applicant wants to apply for Full Direct Remitter Approval Letter, the applicant will need to approach Businesses – International and non-resident taxes. Here is the contact Link
  2. The applicant will need to create an account through “MyAccount”, “My Business account” or “Represent a client”. Here are the My account, My Business or Represent a client.
  3. The applicant will need a social insurance number to log in or create an account.
  4. The applicant may need to submit additional documents. This will be specified by the authorities.
  5. The applicant can also send a written request to Sudbury Tax Centre Link
  6. Once the applicant has created an account, the CRA will mail the applicant a form which shows them the information they have entered.
  7. This form will include a voucher that the applicant will need to include with their first remittance.
  8. The application will need to make a fee payment. Find further information under the “Fees” section of this page.
  9. After the applicant makes their first remittance, the CRA will send a letter, Non-resident Tax Statement of Account, which includes a non-resident tax remittance voucher that the applicant can use for their next remittance.
  10. The applicant will need to wait a few days for the application to be processed.

Instructions

  • If the applicant has not received Form NR75 in time to make their first remittance, prepare a letter that states:
    • The name under which the account was opened, as well as the address and telephone number
    • The year and month the applicant’s payment covers
    • The applicant’s non-resident account number
