• Both applicants must be over 18 years of age.
• For one or both applicants who are 16 and 17 years old, parents or guardians must be present for consent.
• For one or both applicants who are younger than 16 years old, marriage can be authorized only by court order when the request has been filed by either parent or legal guardian.

• Marriage License Fee:$35.00 - $65.00 (depends on the county)
• Certified Copy of the License: $14.00

The marriage license is valid for 3 months.

• There are two kinds of marriage licenses: Public and Confidential.
• The bride and groom must be present when obtaining a marriage license.
• After the ceremony, the license is completed by the person performing the ceremony and is returned to Recorder's office.
• The license must be returned within 10 days after the ceremony. The license will then be registered.
• Copy of the marriage license can be purchased by mail, fax, or in person.
