1. For the renewal of post box visit the post office where you have registered your post box.
2. Provide the detail information of your registered post box.
3. Pay the yearly charge
4. Then the post box will be renewed.

Yearly charge: Rs 750 (for shrawan)
Late fee: Rs 938 (bhadra and shrawan)

Post Box can be renewed for 1 to 5 years.

General post office is situated at Sundhara, Kathmandu, Nepal. GPO has provided Online Post Box Service from January 1st, 2007.

• Permanent Address (district, municipality/VDC, ward no, village/tole/marg, house no)
• Mailing Address (district, municipality/VDC, ward no, village/tole/marg, house no)
• Phone number
• E-mail
• Post box registration number

Even if this world is era of technology so use of postal service has reduced very much however still the use of postal service is necessary as still we need to send our documents to some offices, organizations through only post office and also for to send and receive parcels from elsewhere we need to depend on postal service , the renewal of postbox is necessary to use the postal service all time.

If Post Box is not renewed within the specified renewal period, Post Box will be cancelled by deducting yearly charge from Deposit Amount.

To cancel automatically
If Post Box has expired (due to being not renewed within the specified renewal period). In this case, Post Box will be cancelled automatically without deposit refund

To cancel manually If Post Box has not been renewed within the specified renewal period and it has not expired. In this case, Post Box will be cancelled if anyone wants to leave Post Box within the renewal period

• Full Deposit Amount will be refunded if Post Box has been renewed on each Fiscal Year.
• Late fee charge (Rs.) + Refund (Rs.) = Deposit Amount (Rs.) According to the month listed

• While visiting Post Office to check Post Box, you should bring key and Post Box ID Card.
• If key or Post Box ID is lost, related person should submit application with identity.
• While receiving documents like D.V./TOEFL/IELTS, one should come with identity.
• A person's Post Box will not be transferred to any other person.
• One should not import other person's personal documents in his/her Post Box. Post Office will not be responsible for documents imported in this way.
• Post Office will not be responsible for postal materials lost due to use of Post Box by maximum number of persons.
• Postal materials will be sent back to the sender if not received within 15 days.
• After Post Box Registration, if you want to take Online Post Box Service.
