Nepal - Obtain Trekking Permit


Procedure

  1. Fill out application form to obtain a Trekking Permit.
  2. Submit the completed form to the Department of Immigration, Kalikasthan, Kathmandu.
  3. Pay the applicable fee.

Dolpa District (Areas of Upper Dolpa):

  • For the first 10 days : US $500.00 (per person) or equivalent convertible foreign currency
  • Succeeding days: US $50.00 (per person) or equivalent convertible foreign currency


Dolpa District ( Areas of Lower Dolpa):

  • One week: US $10.00 (per person) or equivalent convertible foreign currency


Mustang District:

  • For the first 10 days : US $500.00 (per person) or equivalent convertible foreign currency
  • Succeeding days: US $50.00 (per person) or equivalent convertible foreign currency


Manaaslu Region:

From September to November

  • One week: US $70.00 (per person) or equivalent convertible foreign currency
  • Succeeding days (after 7 days): US $10.00 (per person) or equivalent convertible foreign currency

From December to August:

  • One week: US $50.00 (per person) or equivalent convertible foreign currency
  • Succeeding days (after 7 days): US $7.00 (per person) or equivalent convertible foreign currency


Mugu District:

  • One week: US $90.00 (per person) or equivalent convertible foreign currency
  • Succeeding days (after 7 days): US $15.00 (per person) or equivalent convertible foreign currency


Manang District (Areas of NarPhu):

From September to November

  • One week: US $90.00 (per person) or equivalent convertible foreign currency

From December to August:

  • One week: US $75.00 (per person) or equivalent convertible foreign currency


Dolakha District (GauriShankar & Lamabagar):

  • One week: US $10.00 (per person) or equivalent convertible foreign currency


Rasuwa:

  • One week: US $10.00 (per person) or equivalent convertible foreign currency


Humla District (Simikot and Yari):

  • One week: US $50.00 (per person) or equivalent convertible foreign currency
  • Succeeding days (after 7 days): US $7.00 (per person) or equivalent convertible foreign currency


Sankhuwasabha District:

  • For the first 4 weeks: US $10.00 per week, per person or equivalent convertible foreign currency
  • After 4 weeks: US $20.00 per week, per person or equivalent convertible foreign currency


Taplejung District (Kanchanjanga Region):

  • One week: US $10.00 (per person) or equivalent convertible foreign currency


Gorkha District (Chhekampar & Chunchet Area):

From September to November per person US$ 35

  • For the first 8 days: US $35.00 (per person) or equivalent convertible foreign currency

Individuals who would like to go trekking in areas in Nepal that falls under the Restricted Zone must first obtain a Special Trekking Permits issued by the Department of Immigration.
