Apply In-Person

1. To Adopt a Zoo Animal in Nagaland the applicant has to approach the Nagaland Zoological Garden link
2. Choose an Animal for Adoption and level of support/period of Adoption.
3. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
4. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
5. Make sure that the applicant has to attach all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
6. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
7. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
8. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
9. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
10. Then the application will be processed further and the certificate will be issued within a day.

Any individual/organisation can Adopt Zoo Animal after paying the appropriate fee.

Explain the fees structure which is required for obtaining the certificate/document.

Validity depends upon the number of years chosen to Adopt an Animal.

The certificate of adoption will be issued after payment of fee at the Zoo office.

Privileges of Adopting a Zoo Animal:

• All Adoptions are eligible for Income Tax deduction under section 80G of the IT Act, 1961.
• Official Certificate of adoption will be provided in their name.
• Complimentary passes and free parking to visit the Zoo once every month until a year.
• Adopterswill get anAdoption packet, which includes photo of the adopted animal, a write-up of Animal’s character, feeding habits, behaviour, distribution in the wild, conservation status, importance in the ecosystem and a membership card for adoption.
• Name of the individual/organisation will be displayed at the enclosure of the Adopted Animal.
