A Journalist Visa is given to professional journalists and photographers for up to three months' stay in Morocco.
The fist thing for the applicant should be to submit proof of being a journalist/ Identity Card of the applicant registered as a journalist.
All journalists by profession traveling as tourists, including those having a degree in journalism and not practicing journalism, should give an undertaking in the form of a letter addressed to the Embassy of Morocco, Rabat that they are going to Morocco as tourists only and will not indulge in any journalistic activities. Those going to Morocco for journalism should clearly mention so in their applications.
If you are intending to make a documentary in Morocco, kindly contact the Press and Information wing in the Embassy/Consulate. Processing time for such visits would usually depend on the approval that may be required from concerned Ministries/Departments of Government of Morocco and state government, as the case may be.

To be eligible you must be a Professional journalist,Columnist, cartoonist/editor, Photographer, Film producer or director (other than of commercial films),A representative of a radio and/or television organization, Travel writer/travel promotion photographer broadcast of audio visual news etc. intending to visit Morocco for on a mission of gathering news or capturing news or Filming sites.
This journalist visa is valid for 3 months only with a single entry. Regardless of the entry status, it can be renewed upon request.

Processing time take less than a one month but because of the complexity it can exceed that time. Visas for journalists cannot be fast-tracked and may take longer than five (5) working days to process;

Visa is a mandatory requirement for anyone to enter Morocco, including children. One should ensure its possession before planning to enter Morocco. When you want to stay in Morocco as a professional journalist and photographer for any period of time, you will first need to take care of a few formalities. One of those formalities is applying for a journalist visa.
There are very specific requirements, dictated by Moroccan immigration law, which must be met by applicants in order to qualify for the Journalist visa.
The applicants need to submit their visa applications directly to the visa section of the Embassy of Morocco.
A Notice from the government authority in charge of communication is required in order to Obtain a Moroccan journalist Visa.
