According to the Moroccan family code all Moroccan in Diaspora and their children born to Moroccan parents outside the country are Eligible for Dual Citizenship.

This applies to people who are Moroccan citizens by birth descent who are also citizens of other countries (dual citizenship). These people are not required to renounce their other citizenship upon reaching the age of 18 in Morocco

Because the only language recognized in Morocco is Arabic, documents must all be translated into Arabic to be included in an application. Documents are also sent to Morocco and Moroccan embassies by courier to ensure security, confidentiality, and confirmation of delivery. These costs are known as disbursement fees and are unique to each case; however the total is typically less than $500 dollars.

Because the government do recognize dual citizenship for adults the process is slow it take less than 60 days for young one who are less than 18 years.

It is the mandate of the Ministry of Expatriates and Migration Affairs to promote gender equality, provide labour, occupational health and safety, civil registration, migration, citizenship and coordinate graduate internship and vocational training. They are in charge of issuing work and resident permits.

Dual citizenship is measured to be citizens of both countries at the same time.Thus, each nation has its own laws with regards to citizenship and to the person who is already a citizen of another country.

Marriage is the most easiest and usual way in obtaining dual citizenship.Moroccan nationality is transmitted by filiation (father and mother) or birth in Morocco. This gives the right to Moroccan males to transmit citizenship to their children and foreign wives.A child born in Morocco to unknown parents is a Moroccan citizen.According to Article 9,[2] any child born in Morocco of foreign parents who themselves were born in Morocco can become a Moroccan citizen provided that they make request to that effect.

In Morocco dual citizenship is recognized; but permission must be granted by the government before a second citizenship is acquired. A person having a dual nationality does not lose Moroccan nationality The Minister of Justice has the power to approve of the decision for people who acquire nationality by means of article 9.Therefore a person who have obtained Moroccan nationality by the effect of the law can claim the same rights as a Moroccan having nationality of origin (by filiation).

Therefore for foreigners to live in Morocco permanently, they may maintain their citizenship and become citizens of Morocco by acquiring an original Morocco Identity card.
