Montana eases the pain and worry of losing your driver's license by allowing you to obtain a duplicate license quickly and easily. All you must do is visit any driver exam station throughout the state, provide proof of identity, and pay a $10 fee. You are not required to notify the police.

If you lose your license within six months of its expiration date, you are allowed to renew it rather than replace it with a duplicate license. The option is yours.
