1. You may obtain copies of a birth certificate from the civil status office or local townhall where the birth was registered.
2. When you submit your request make sure that you have provided these important details which will make searching for the record easier:
   1. date of birth
   2. place of birth
   3. name of the parents
3. Pay for the certificate and wait for the advice from the registry officer about when can you come back to collect the certificate.

Note: Beginning 2008, you may also obtain a copy of a birth certificate from the medical institution where the child was born. Get in touch with the hospital to know more.
