Apply in-Person:

1. To Apply for Temporary Electricity Supply, the applicant has to Approach the Power and Electricity Department, Mizoram and collect the Application form for temporary electricity supply.
2. Refer to the “Office Locations & Contacts” section in this procedure to see the respective address and contact details. Contact link: link
3. Make sure that the applicant has to attach all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
5. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
6. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
7. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
8. An acknowledgment receipt will be provided. Please save it for future reference.
9. The applicant will be contacted by respective officer /Call Centre Representative on email/mobile provided by you for verification.
10. Once verification and payment procedure is successful, connection will be effected according to consumer’s application.

The date of availing the temporary supply may be got amended by the consumer, by applying to the authority who has issued the orders before the commencement date indicated in the order. However, any alternate date proposed shall commence within 15 days of the date of the first order.

Timeline for release of temporary connection:
Release of temporary connection Class-I Cities Urban Areas Rural Areas Where supply can be provided from existing network in 3 days for Class1 Cities, 3 days for Urban Areas, and 7 days for Rural Areas. Where supply can be provided after extension/augmentation of network: LT 30 days, HT 90 days, EHT 180 days for Class 1 Cities, LT 30 days, HT 90 days, EHT 180 days for Urban Areas and LT 30 days, HT 90 days, and EHT 180 days for Rural Areas.
