Apply In Person

1. To Obtain National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Volunteer Pass in Michigan, the applicant has to approach nearby Interagency Passes centre link or Volunteers should contact their volunteer coordinator for more information.

   Note: The applicant selects the state and pass type to find the nearest centre by them.

2. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the authorized officer.
3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form (Incomplete application forms are not accepted)
4. Make sure the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page (Both photocopies and originals).
5. The applicant should attach the photocopies of the required documents while submitting.
6. The fee for this procedure is mentioned in the “Fees” section of this page.
7. The authority will review the application form, upon successful completion the authority will issue the Volunteer pass.
8. The processing time of this procedure takes up to 1 to 2 weeks to get a hard copy of the pass in hand.

• The fee to obtain Volunteer Pass is free of cost.

• The Volunteer Pass is valid for 12 months from the date of issue.

• Applicants must complete the application form before submitting it. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
• Applicants must provide genuine information while applying for this procedure.
• Each Annual Pass admits pass owner/s and passengers in a non-commercial vehicle at per-vehicle fee areas; and pass owner + 3 adults, not to exceed 4 adults, where per-person fees are charged. (Children under 16 are always admitted free).

• A "Volunteer Pass" is an Annual Pass awarded to those individuals who volunteer 250 hours at one or more recreation sites managed by five Federal agencies as a way to say thank you.
• A pass covers entrance, standard amenity fees and day use fees for a driver and all passengers in a personal vehicle at per vehicle fee areas (or up to four adults at sites that charge per person).
