1. To Obtain Crewman Landing Permit or License, the applicant has to approach the Department of Homeland Security U.S. Customs and Border Protection - link

1. The applicant has to download the application form from the following link – link
2. The applicant has to enter all the details in the application form.
3. Make sure that the applicant has to attach all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
5. Submit all the necessary documents along with the completed form to the officer.
6. The applicant has to pay the fee as per the authority’s request.
7. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
8. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
9. Also, the inspection will have done by the CBP officer.
10. Once the process gets completed, the applicant has to visit the office to get the license.
11. There is no fee for this landing permit.
12. The processing time for this procedure is up to 15 – 30 days.

• The Crewman Landing permit shows the date of arrival of the applicant in U.S and also shows that how long the applicant will stay in the United States. This document helps to track the individual of when they entering and when they leaving the country.

• Once the applicant is done with the completed form and the CBP has finished processing and stamping the form, it will be affixed to the applicant’s passport. However, the applicant will not be asked to show or submit their passport.

• When the applicant leaves the United States, the applicant will have to give their I-95 form to the right authorities. Doing this will show them that the applicant didn’t violate the laws of the U.S. by staying more than the applicant should have. To be more specific, it’ll serve as evidence that you obeyed the law and left as soon as you had to. Doing this will also ensure that you will be able to come to the U.S. in the future as an immigrant or a non-immigrant.
