Apply In-Person:
- To Obtain International Phytosanitary Certificate, the applicant has to approach the Servicio Nacional de Sanidad, Inocuidad y Calidad Agroalimentaria. link
- An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
- The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
- Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
- Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
- The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
- After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
- Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
- Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
- They may inspect the plant product, review documentation, and evaluate any required treatments or preventive measures.
- If your application is approved and compliance is confirmed, SENASICA will issue the International Phytosanitary Certificate.
- This certificate will contain information about the plant product, its origin, destination, and any relevant phytosanitary treatments or requirements.
- This entire process can be completed within 15 - 25 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

Eligibility
The following are the requirements to be eligible for an International Phytosanitary Certificate (ICP) in Mexico:
- The exporter must be a registered exporter with the Mexican Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (SAGARPA).
- The plants or plant products must be inspected by a SAGARPA inspector and found to be free of pests and diseases.
- The ICP must be issued by a SAGARPA-approved phytosanitary inspection agency.
Fees
- The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
Validity

Need for the Document
