1. To avoid misuse of your lost or stolen passport, you must immediately report the incident to a Police Station in the area where the passport was lost/stolen.
2. After reporting the incident a "Declaration of Lost / Stolen Certificate", will be issued.
3. You will need to present the "Declaration of Lost / Stolen Certificate" to an Immigration Officer at the Passport Office for the cancellation of the lost passport on the Passport and Immigration Office Computer Record and to inform all Missions of Mauritius abroad.

Fees applicable on application for a new Passport:

• First lost / damage : Rs 5000
• Second lost /damage : Rs 15000
• On every subsequent loss : An additional and cumulative fee of Rs 15000
