Mauritius - Registration of Poultry Farmers


Procedure

Apply In-Person:

  • To Registration of Poultry Farmers in person, the applicant should contact Mauritius Agricultural Services. Contact link
  • Applicants should obtain the application form from the authority.
  • Applicants need to Fill in the form with the necessary details like name, address, contact number, email id, etc.
  • Applicants should attach all the required documents like identity proof, address proof, photographs and they can be found under the ‘Required Documents” section of this page.
  • Applicants should submit the form along with the necessary documents to the relevant authority in Mauritius.
  • Applicants must Pay the registration fees and the fees details can be found under the “Fees” section of this page.
  • Once the application is received, it will be reviewed, and the relevant authority will decide on the eligibility of the applicant to the scheme.
  • Applicants will be provided with an official registration number after their application is approved.
  • Once the application is approved, applicants will be registered with the Poultry Farmers in Mauritius.
  • Generally, the process should take around 10-15 working days from the date of submission.



Apply Via Post Office

  • Applicant can Visit the post office and obtain the application form for Poultry Farmers at the reception desk or download the application form from thislink
  • The applicant should legibly complete the application form as required.
  • Once the form is accurately completed, the applicant should gather and prepare all the required supporting documents as mentioned in the “Required Documents” section below and attach the documents to the application form in a single file.
  • Then the applicant should visit the Post Office and the fees details can be found under the “Fees” section of this page and obtain the payment receipt.
  • Then the applicant should submit the application file to the Post Office.
  • After receiving the application, the authority will verify the application and check if all the required documents are provided by the applicant including the payment receipt.
  • Once the application is verified, the applicant will be issued the application acknowledgment receipt via email.
  • Then the registration application will be forwarded for processing at the authority.
  • The SFWF will process the application and produce the Poultry Farmers registration card and submit it to the post office.
  • Then the applicant should visit the post office on the date mentioned in the acknowledgment receipt and obtain the registration card.

Eligibility

  • Any individual, group, or company that is involved in poultry farming in Mauritius is eligible for registration as a poultry farmer. This includes individuals and businesses that are involved in the raising, breeding, selling, and marketing of poultry.




Fees

  • Membership registration fee of Rs 650.




Validity

  • The Membership Registration card is Valid for 2 years and it is eligible for renewal.
