Apply Online
- Applicants must visit the Central Electricity Board (CEB) website portal and click on “Customer Portal” tab located on the upper right side of their screen link.
- Login with their credentials (email address/password), if the applicant already have an account, if the applicant does not have an account click on “click here to register” option.
- The registration form will be displayed, fill it accurately, captcha the security details and click on “submit” tab.
- An activation email will be sent to the email address you had register with, click on the “Activate Account “option.
- The applicant will then be redirected to the CEB portal then click on “Click here to continue “tab.
- A One Time Password (OTP) will then be sent to the mobile number the applicant had registered with, enter the OTP and then click on “Confirm OTP” tab.
- Then the applicant will be redirected to the next page, sign in with their credentials (email address/password).
- Then the applicant must Select Contract Account option from the menu bar, a list of contract account details will be displayed, then click on the “contract account number” to view your unpaid bills.
- The applicant can view the list of bills have not paid in “open items” tab, then choose the bills the applicant want to pay then click on “Pay” tab.
- The applicant must accept terms and conditions, entry their credit card details then click on “Pay now” tab.
- Then the applicant will then receive a payment confirmation mail in their email address.
- The processing time for this payment process take a few hours to complete.
Apply In-Person:
Cash Payment at the CEB
- Applicant must Visit any Central Electricity Board (CEB) Mauritius branch office nearby with the electricity bill invoice and the amount to be paid indicated on the invoice
- Approach the payment services counter and submit the invoice bill and the recommended amount in cash to the attending official.
- Who will verify the amount to be paid through their computer system and if the amount is in order, he/she will clear the applicant bill and issue to the applicant a receipt confirming the payment immediately.
Pay at Post Office
- Applicant must Visit the nearest Post Office.
- Ask the counter staff for a CEB bill payment form.
- Then the applicant should fill out the form with the required details including name, address, telephone number and CEB customer number.
- After they pay the required amount in cash or with a debit/credit card.
- The counter staff will process the applicant payment and provide with a receipt.
- Applicant will receive a receipt as proof of payment.
Pay at CEB Customer Service Centre
- Applicant must visit the nearest CEB Customer Service Centre with their CEB bill and ID.
- Ask the customer service representative to register the applicant payment.
- Applicant must Provide the customer service representative with the necessary information, such as your account number, the amount that the applicant need to pay, and the due date.
- Applicant must Pay the amount due using cash, a debit or credit card, or a cheque.
- The customer service representative will provide the applicant with a receipt. Keep it as proof of payment.
- Make sure to update the applicant’s records with the payment information, such as the date and the amount paid.
Pay using Mobile Money
To pay your CEB bills using Mobile Money, the applicant need to have a bank account with a mobile money provider, such as Orange Money, MCB MobiCash, or Airtel Money. Then, the applicant can use the following steps to complete the payment:
- Log into your Mobile Money account and select “Pay a Bill”.
- Select “CEB” from the list of available billers.
- Enter the amount owed and choose “Submit”.
- Enter their CEB account number.
- Select “Confirm” to complete the payment.
- Once the applicant payment is confirmed, he/she will receive a receipt with the details of their transaction. The applicant can also view their payment history in the Mobile Money account. The processing time for this payment process take a few hours to complete.
Pay using Bank Transfer
- The applicant should Log into their CEB account and select the ‘Bills’ option.
- Select the ‘Payment’ option and enter the details of the applicant wish to pay.
- Enter the amount the applicant wishes to pay, and select the ‘Bank Transfer’ option.
- Enter the bank account details of the applicant and confirm the transfer.
- Once the transfer is complete, a confirmation email will be sent to the applicant with a receipt for the payment. The processing time for this payment process take a few hours to complete.
