1. To Recruit Foreign Nationals in person, the applicant has to approach the Work Permit Unit Employment Division under the aegis of the Ministry of Labour, Industrial Relations, Employment and Training (MLIRET).

3. Applicant should obtain the application form from the Ministry of Labour, Industrial Relations, Employment and Training (MLIRET) authority.
4. The applicant should fill the form correctly and to the best of their knowledge with the required documents.
5. Once the application is complete and all the documents are correctly submitted, the Ministry of Labour, Industrial Relations, Employment and Training (MLIRET) will review the application and if the application is approved, the applicant will be provided with a work permit.
6. Once the applicant has the work permit, they must apply for a residence permit and a Mauritian Identity Card (MID).
7. The applicant should also apply for a medical insurance policy and register with the National Employment Office (NEO).
8. The applicant should pay the applicable taxes and fees to the Ministry of Labour, Industrial Relations, Employment and Training (MLIRET).
9. A fee for this procedure has to be paid as per the authority’s request.
10. The applicant should adhere to the Mauritian Labour Law and the regulations set by the Ministry of Labour, Industrial Relations, Employment and Training (MLIRET).
11. The applicant should also comply with the immigration laws and regulations of the country.
12. After obtaining all the necessary documents and permits, the applicant can now begin working in Mauritius.
13. The processing time for Recruit Foreign Nationals in Mauritius is approximately 6 to 8 weeks.

• A valid work permit issued by the Immigration Office in Mauritius.
• A valid residence permit issued by the Immigration Office in Mauritius.
