Importing plastics into Mauritius is important for several reasons:
- Plastics can be used to create a wide range of products, such as food packaging, medical equipment, and construction materials.
- Importing plastics also helps to reduce the cost of buying these products, as well as providing access to more advanced materials and products that would otherwise be unavailable in Mauritius.
- Additionally, importing plastics helps to reduce the environmental impact of producing these materials locally.
- By importing plastics, Mauritius can reduce the amount of energy and resources used to produce these products, thus helping to reduce its carbon footprint.
