1. To apply for skipper license or pleasure craft operator license the applicant has to contact the Tourism Authority in Mauritius.
2. Please make sure you have all the appropriate documents that are listed under the Required Documents section of this page.
3. You would also have to inform the Tourism Authority whether you have been convicted of any offence, disqualified or any previous skipper license has been endorsed.
4. You would request to complete an application form and pay appropriate fees for which information are provided under the following links.

• If you are under 60 years of age, your application should contain a declaration stating that you are physically and mentally capable of operating a pleasure craft without representing danger to public.
• If you are above 60 years old, you should provide a medical certificate to the satisfaction of the Tourism Authority.

• To operate for private purpose the person should be minimum 16 years of age, unless decided by the minister.
• To operate a pleasure craft for commercial purposes the applicant has to be at least 18 years of age.

Till your age of 60. After the age of 60 your license will be renewed on the basis of the medical certificate that is provided by the applicant.
