Apply In-Person

1. Applicants should visit the Central Water Authority Mauritius (CWA) office near them and collect the application form, from the front desk or download it via the CWA website Link (form located under Services option>forms>New supply) or click the link below to download Link (Application form)
2. Submit the completed form along with the required documents (listed below) to be verified by a staff at the customer care offices.
3. The staff at the customer care offices shall establish whether the area you stay in is reticulated/ feasible by asking you some questions, for example, existing water supply near you.
4. Pay the processing fees, upon which you will be issued with a receipt.
5. After logging your application, inspectors from the CWA, will visit the applicant’s (your) premise for an assessment to determine the estimate cost of the layout connection materials from the main water pipe. The minimum layout cover by the CWA is up to 7 meters any additional meter (over 7 meters) of lay out material required will be covered by the applicant.
6. If the survey indicates that your site is over 7 meters from the main water pipe, a quotation will be prepared and issued to you.
7. Depending on the quoted costs and the connection fees, you will be required to proceed and make payments at the CWA office, where you will be issued with a receipt.
8. Upon payment of the required fees, External works, meter installation, and other essential processes will be done to make sure you can access water in 15 working days.
   
   

Through Mail

1. Alternative applicants can submit the completed application form and the attach site plan copy and send it to the CWA email address cwa@intnet.mu to be verified.
2. Once your application is received by the CWA, you will receive an email from the CWA confirming that your request has being taken into consideration and given further instructions.
3. You will then be required to visit the CWA office near you and Pay the processing fees, upon which you will be issued with a receipt.
4. Upon making payment, inspectors from the CWA, will visit the applicant’s (your) premise for an assessment to determine the estimate cost of the layout connection materials from the main water pipe. The minimum layout cover by the CWA is up to 7 meters any additional meter (over 7 meters) of lay out material required will be covered by the applicant.
