Apply In-Person

1. You should start by visiting a police station or the town hall to report the loss/damage of the driving license and acquire a certificate of loss from the police or town hall authorities which is a prerequisite to making the application.
2. You should then visit the Regional Transport Directorate at the driving license section responsible for the duplicate file, or the transport subdivision at the Cercle level near you and;

   • Collect necessary forms and accurately fill them.
   • Attach all the required documents (listed below); and
   • Submit the documents to be verified by the agent.

3. If the agent is satisfied that all the documents are in order, the application file will be submitted to the license section to be registered and then sent to the Caisse (check out) where you will be required to pay for the royalties, upon which you will be issued with an acknowledgement receipt.
4. The file is then returned to the license section and then sent to the head of the visa division, to be verified and affixation of the visa.
5. The file is then returned to the licensing section and then sent to the computer room for data input. It is then validated by the agent responsible for validation and returns to the IT room for the duplicate card to be drawn.
6. The file is then sent to the National Direction after having been approved by the head of division and signed by the Regional Director.
7. At the national office, the file is registered and its conformity with the parent file is checked.
8. If it is compliant, the director or his deputy signs the document, which is returned to the national transport directorate within a month. The file remains in the archives of the national leadership. Note: If the file is not compliant, it is rejected.
9. The applicant or representative should then visit the Regional Directorate, Secretariat of the driving license section and present the your identity card and acknowledgment receipt to be validated and issuing of the license upon payment of the license fees.
   

• A request stamped at 200F (the price may change).
• A certificate of loss issued by the police or the town hall, showing the license number.
• A residence certificate issued by the Police.
• 4 passport photos.
• A fiscal stamp of 3750 FCFA payable on site.
• For categories C, D and E medical visit form.

• The driving license is an essential document to justify the fact that you can drive in your vehicle. You will be asked in case of police control and it is mandatory to have it on you.
