Apply In-Person

1. Applicant should visit the Ministry of Security and Civil Protection, General Directorate of the National Police office and express your interest to the front desk.
2. Submit the stamped request address to the Director of the National Police along with the supporting as listed under {“Required document section below”} to be verified and recorded by the attending officer, who will then issue you with a receipt indicating the date of withdrawal of the response to the request.
3. The application file will then be transmitted to the General Directorate of the National Police office, department responsible to be examine and investigate.
4. If the authorized official is satisfy with that all the conditions as set for the application are met the certificate will be drawn, sign and stamp by the General Directorate of the National Police after further assessment.
5. The signed document/permit is recorded and returned to the general directorate office where it is made available to be issued to the applicant, upon presenting his/her NIC or passport and registration receipt to be validated by the registrar.
